The Samurai museum is totally fantastic especially for kids. The museum runs free tours that are run by really enthusiastic guides who share all sorts of amazing facts and information.
For those of you who have read Musashi the museum has one of his blades. It is truly a national treasure. It is a stunning example of the rich cultural heritage of Japan.
At the end of the tour there is an excellent samurai demonstration and throughout there are plenty of opportunities for interaction with the fascinating artifacts including being able to dress as a samurai.
