We’ll keep you in the loop with our current crazy ventures, but we’d love your input on potential new projects in the land of never-ending opportunities! What are your favourites and thoughts on all these…
> Should we save an exquisite traditional temple, earmarked for demolition, and get it moved to our neck of the woods and guest-ready for small groups to stay in and enjoy?
> Do we help a beautiful bunch of local healing ladies develop their historic forest inn into a deluxe wellbeing, onsen and health spa retreat, just down the road from Yukimi?
> Do we expand our Shiki guesthouse offerings to add a restaurant, bar and bunch of one-bedroom apartments, so more people can share in the Snowball Japan family?
> Shall we share our love of ancient Japanese Jomon pottery by opening our ceramic art centre, with gallery, workshops and Night-at-the-Museum-style sleepovers?
> Should we finally get moving on Snowman Apartments Stage 2, next door to Snowball Chalet? We’ve sketched out a fab design (with a hinoki balcony tub, huge lounge windows and mountain views forever) to complement our first-ever, much-loved Madarao build, blending traditional Japanese aesthetics with all the modern comforts.
> Would you join Dan and I on a small-group retreat in the gorgeous green season? Would you be interested in helping host a retreat with all the planning and logistics done for you? What’s your preference… Writer’s Retreat? Food? Wine? Yoga? Wellbeing? Fishing? Golf? Hiking? Creativity? Culture? Crafts? Cooking? Wild Walks? Philosophy? Architecture? Language? Meditation? A combo of these? Or just a ‘Freedom’ retreat to unwind in a stunningly peaceful traditional Japanese garden guesthouse complex?
We are always so inspired and inundated with a gazillion exciting (do-able) opportunities! Feel free to share your thoughts and favourites…
xx Dan & Andy
